a year agoI got the brisket sandwich and it was pretty cold, the flavor of the brisket wasn’t anything special and it was kind of tough. Maybe i caught them on a bad day, based on other reviews i would probably give them another chance though, hopefully it will be better. The area was clean and the customer service was great. 👍 It has a cool area outside and overall a good vibe.

a year ago1848 has hands down the best beer selection in the valley. With 20 constantly rotating taps and a varied can and bottle selection, it's my go-to for craft beer. The food is also delicious with in-house smoked brisket, sausage, ribs, and turkey; this place is the THE place to go for families or anyone looking to have a great time! Aldo and Michelle are great and make it a fantastic experience every time!

2 years agoA group of us went by to try this local spot out. I heard they had an amazing beer selection so wanted to try out some new brews. The beer selection is unmatched in Brownsville. They have a few local breweries on tap, which is nice to see them supporting local businesses. They have a crazy variety of beers on draft and bottled/can. We came for the drinks but the food was very good as well. I had the brisket and sausage with beans and Mac and it was all super good. Atmosphere is great, we even decided to go outside to play some corn-hole. The entire vibe is great. They had good music playing inside and outside. I just wish that they had some live music or karaoke on the nice stage they have outside.

2 years agoIt will satisfy your cravings for Bbq. Brisket is Fair, The pork is alright The sausage is really good Cole slaw is really good and beans too.Also most Bbq Joints/Places have their own signature Home made teas or lemonade while they just sell canned beverages.

3 years agoWhat can I say! This place definitely lived up tot he hype. Classic rustic feel on the inside, nice park benches set up on the outside. The food was ready quick, and I was recommended what to get as a first timer with a budget and a date lol. The 3 meat option with 2 sides and 2 drinks which only came out to 25 bucks!!! I recommend brisket moist and lean, with either sausage, ribs, chicken, or turkey. We will definitely return if they're not sold out lol

3 years agoFinally made it to this BBQ joint. The Brisket is moist not dry. Good smokey mesquite ring, nice flavor, but not overly done. Nice Texas Hill Country atmosphere.

Edited 7 years agoI saw this rustic, but modern looking shack as I was driving by running some errands. Figured I'd check it out because I hadn't eaten any lunch yet. Man oh man was it a great decision, I loved almost everything about this place. The food was great, staff was friendly, and the environment was very chill. They have this sort of weird combination of rustic, modern, industrial look going on and it all worked great together. I highly recommend this place. I will be coming back myself because this is some of the best brisket I've had in all of Brownsville. I went today and the type of meats I had were very bland and dry (pork ribs and brisket). However, all their sides are still very good.
